The situation in Sri Lanka is grave and worsening daily. As Sri Lankan government forces attempt to achieve a decisive military victory against the rebel Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), civilians are trapped in a 3 kilometer area just slightly larger than Central Park. Just this weekend at least 378 civilians were killed and more than 1,100 wounded during intensive shelling of the combat zone. Tens of thousands of civilian lives now hang in the balance.

Tell President Obama: End the Genocide NOW!

• Publicly call for the international community to demand a restoration of aid and isolation of President Bashir;
• Conduct a private diplomatic effort to explore how governments could downgrade relations with Bashir and eventually end his 20-year presidency; and
• Form a coalition that can both negotiate with and pressure Sudan to seek peace in Darfur as well as implement the existing peace agreement for the South.”
